Meredith's Final Blog Post

My final project is going to be my junk journal turned digital and interactive.  One of the pieces that inspired me was “Entre Ville” by JR Carpenter. I liked how there were physical elements, like the journal, but they were made to have interactive text. I am hoping to add videos and audio to my junk journal to show how all the junk that I have collected reminds me of my memories this semester with my friends and family. I like the stickers and stamps on Entre Ville’s sides of the page too; although these stickers aren’t interactive, I’m hoping to make some interactive stickers in my piece of e-lit. It will be a form of interactive nonfiction, but it’s different than nonfiction pieces like EXPOSED or Clouds over Sidra where the piece is meant to convey or create a cultural impact with data. My piece is almost more like a digital creative autobiography. I also was inspired by MSM’s magazine; although they print their magazines out, it is built digitally and I want to capture that sort of essence.

  1. This idea is really cool! I like how your using some materials/ideas you already had to create your e-lit piece. It seems your e-lit is going to be very meaningful!
