Eve's Final Blog Post

I was inspired by a lot of different pieces that we've looked at this semester, but one that is kind of similar to my final project is "Uncle Buddy's Phantom Funhouse". I didn't fully read through this entire hypertext, but the beginning part where the main character receives a letter and then explores the house is similar to my idea. I was also kind of inspired by "The Doll Games" by Shelley and Pamela Jackson. I liked the kind of unsettling vibe that the hypertext had and the way you click through different sections that feel like achieves. I've really enjoyed using ThingLink for this class and other classes, so I wanted to use it for my final project. My idea is to make a digital escape room that the user moves through and slowly reveals details about the story as they click on different things. I plan to use the 360 camera to create the "rooms" and Canva and/or PowerPoint to make some collages or graphics to include as "clues". I haven't fully decided what I want the story itself to be about, because I have to decided where I want to take pictures.
