RM - Week 8 "Bring it to The Table"

This week's (final) chapter of Electronic Literature was super interesting. He talks about other parts of E-Lit that did not get their own chapter, and talks about how e-lit as a genre is continuously growing and changing.

I love Motto!! From what I got through, I really am a fan. I like how the experience would be different for every user. I felt like it was talking to me directly, which it kind of was, even though everyone who does it gets the same message. I'm going to keep exploring it in my free time! The interactivity is my favorite part. like yes! I am part of the art! I shape my own experience!

I also liked Bubble and the message it is portraying. I think that it is making a statement about how if we don't take care of our earth, and how if we continue to treat it this way we could end up in this sad reality of people needing to wear bubbles to live. I think in a way it could also be saying that the bubbles represent our earth and our reliability on them to survive, and yet we do not treat it as something that keeps us alive.

I was having trouble accessing Far Away From Far Away </3

"The Trajectory Cabinet" was pretty neat. There was definitely a lot going on at times, and it was kind of fun to see how many aspects i could have on the screen at a time. I thought it was pretty interactive and well made though, and it seemed pretty fascinating with it's bits of poetry.

  1. I love what you had to say here! I agree, there was a lot going on throughout the trajectory cabinet, but I think it was a cool exhibition for emerging genres of electronic literature.
